Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is very important to us. We're informing you about our privacy policy to know what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. This privacy declaration is for the IslamicFinder Organization ("us," "we," or "our") our website "IslamicFinder.org," and its app "Athan Academy." This site is referred to as "IslamicFinder.org", and its application is referred to as "Athan Academy" throughout this notice. Both these services are maintained and operated by the IslamicFinder Organization.
IslamicFinder does not collect your name, email address, location, or other similar information unless you choose to provide it. We only ask for email addresses (optional) to send you personalized newsletters and updates.
We do not sell any information that we get after your sign-up process to any third party. We, at IslamicFinder, value our user's privacy and ask for basic information to help you make the most of our features and have a great overall experience. Your consent is our utmost priority at every step!
We always ask for your permission
Your consent is required for the general information that we collect from all users upon registering on the Athan Academy app or IslamicFinder.org. We do not collect any information without your consent. The information we gather is only for improving your experience of our features.
For iOS users
We request for permission to access the user's microphone to help the user record and practice the lessons.
For Android users:
We request for permission to access the user's microphone to help the user record and practice the lessons.

Third-party tools
We don't share your data with anyone. Only the tools mentioned below are used to enhance your experience and keep your journey with us as personalized as possible:
  • Google Analytics
  • Firebase
This is governed by the security and privacy policies of their respective websites. You should review all websites' privacy policies before using them so that you understand how your information may be used. For app analytics and app crashes, we use Google (Firebase). These analytics do not collect your personal information and only help us in improving your experience.
Purchases
Athan Academy offers two methods to access course content: one-time purchases and monthly subscription plans. If you wish to purchase any service made available through Athan Academy ("Purchase"), you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your Purchase including, without limitation, your credit card details. These details are not stored by Athan Academy and are used by Google Play Store, App Store and third party payment gateways only to process payments. Purchases made on the mobile app will use Google Play Store and App Store's billing systems whereas purchases made on the Athan Academy website will be processed through a third party payment gateway.
One-Time Purchases. Certain courses may be purchased for a one-time fee, granting you lifetime access to that course. You are eligible to request a full refund within 3 days of purchasing. After 3 days, refund eligibility lapses. Requests submitted beyond this window will not be guaranteed a refund, though the Athan Academy team may consider exceptional cases at their sole discretion.
Monthly Subscriptions. Certain courses are available via a recurring monthly subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you authorise Athan Academy to charge the applicable subscription fee to your payment method automatically every 30 days, starting from the date of your initial purchase, until your subscription is cancelled. There is no free trial period for monthly subscriptions.
  • Renewal and Pricing. Your subscription renews automatically every 30 days. If the subscription price is updated after your initial purchase, you will continue to be charged at the price you originally subscribed to. Updated pricing applies only to new subscriptions. Each subscription is personal to the account holder and may not be shared with or used by multiple users.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Athan Academy account settings on the web. Upon cancellation, you will retain full access to the course until the end of your current billing cycle, after which your subscription will end and recurring charges will stop. Your progress remains saved even after you cancel the subscription. To regain access after cancellation, you will need to purchase the subscription again.
  • Grace Period. If a renewal payment fails, your access will not be immediately revoked. A grace period of 7 days will be granted during which you retain full access to the course. During this period, you will receive up to 3 reminder emails prompting you to update your payment details. If payment is not successfully processed by the end of the grace period, your course access will be revoked. Your progress will remain saved and will be restored if you resubscribe.
  • Refunds. Refund requests must be submitted to athan.academy@islamicfinder.org. You are eligible to request a full refund within 3 days of purchasing a subscription. After 3 days, refund eligibility lapses. Requests submitted beyond this window will not be guaranteed a refund, though the Athan Academy team may consider exceptional cases at their sole discretion. Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days and the amount will be returned to your original payment method. Upon a successful refund, your course enrollment will be cancelled and you will lose access to the course, though your progress will remain saved. You may only submit a refund request for a given course once.
  • Account Deletion. If you delete your Athan Academy account while a subscription is active, your account deletion will be processed and your subscription will be automatically cancelled at the same time. No further charges will be made after the deletion date.
Platform Purchases. Purchases made through the mobile app via Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to those platforms' respective billing and refund policies. Athan Academy does not control or process refunds for purchases made through third-party platforms.
What happens to the information I provide when I sign-up for Athan Academy App?
When you create an Athan Academy account, we collect only your name, email address, and password ("Registration Information"). This information is stored securely and is used solely to create and manage your account and to personalise your learning experience on the platform. We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your Registration Information to any third party, nor do we use it for any purpose beyond what is necessary to provide you with our services. Your password is encrypted and is never stored or accessible in plain text. You have the right to access, update, or request deletion of your Registration Information at any time by contacting us at athan.academy@islamicfinder.org.
Old Classes and Quran Classes
Old classes is not a new section; they were previously referred to as "Online Classes" in the app and they will remain functional for users who wish to keep using them. Quran classes are a new addition to Athan Academy.
When you send an audio to any class in one of your old classes or in any assignment in Quran classes, we will use your mobile phone's microphone to send your audio recording to our teacher. Athan Academy will save these audios and use this data to help improve the quality of these classes.
Athan Academy does not share any of your personal data with the teachers other than the name with which you have created your account on Athan Academy. You are free to choose whether you give permission to Athan Academy to use your mobile device's microphone.
Marketing purposes:
The information you provide us directly after signing up, which includes your "Email Address," is used to send you more personalized emails and newsletters regarding our exciting updates. Only registered users who have an account with IslamicFinder or those who have specifically subscribed to our newsletter fall under this category.
At any point in time, the user can unsubscribe from our newsletter. You will not receive any personalized emails from us once you unsubscribe to our newsletter.
Surveys that help us get feedback to improve our app are also sent to the users based on the App version number they are using. You are not obligated to respond to polls or surveys. We use "Device ID" to send personalized notifications and updates regarding our latest features. At any point in time, the user can opt-out of the push notifications permission that he has given to Athan Academy by going to their device's settings and to IslamicFinder.org by going to the browser's settings.
Customer support:
At any point in time, our users can contact us via our support email addresses: support@islamicfinder.org or athan.academy@islamicfinder.org. When they do so, the "Email Address" by which they are sending the email is visible to our support agents and the Device information they are sending, which includes their Device Model, Device OS, and their App version number. We use this information to investigate, respond to, and resolve complaints and service issues (e.g., bugs).
Update information:
Any information that you want us to change or delete, for instance, your email address, can be requested by you. These requested changes will be made only after your consent, and we will update you regarding them. For any such requests you can always contact us on our support emails i.e. support@islamicfinder.org or athan.academy@islamicfinder.org.
User consents:
We will be storing the permissions that you have allowed Athan Academy app and IslamicFinder.org for audit purposes.
Information we share
Out of all the information that you provide us, we only use your "Email address" to contact you or send you updates via newsletter. We do not share your email address with any third parties.
Newsletter:
Newsletters are sent to our users regularly to update the users on our latest features and news. We use AWS services and Sendgrid to send newsletters. Newsletters are sent only to those users who have registered on the Athan Academy app or IslamicFinder.org. We have given an option in our newsletters whereby users can unsubscribe. Users can unsubscribe from our newsletters whenever they want.
Social Media:
To give you more choices to sign up and provide you with the ease of signing up through just one click, we have given the option of signing up through Facebook and Apple. A user can opt for either of the two options
In-app Purchases:
With our in-app purchases, we allow our users to unlock special courses and become our premium learners. We use Google Play and App Store services for our Android and iOS apps for in-app purchases, respectively. We do not store your credit card information; we will not be responsible for any loss of data. Please review Google Play and App store policies for details.
Customer Support (Zendesk):
The support channel we use to handle all our user queries, feedback, and issues is Zendesk. With Zendesk, we only get to view our user's "Email Address" and Device information that they are sending, which includes their Device Model, Device OS, and their App version number. We use this information to investigate, respond, and resolve complaints and Service issues. If you are contacting us, then you are sharing this information of yours at your own risk. Our support agents can also help update or delete your account information if you request it.

We provide many choices from deleting or correcting data you include in your Profile. We offer settings on both Athan Academy and IslamicFinder.org to control and manage your information.

Newsletter subscription:
At any point in time, you can choose to opt-out of our newsletter subscription. To opt-in again, you will have to re-subscribe, or you can always send a request to our support channel. We can do all of these functionalities mentioned above if you send us a request via our support representative.
Quran:
Quran is one of our most popular features of IslamicFinder. To provide our users with authentic data, we are using a renowned project Tanzil services for our Quranic data. Tanzil offers a highly verified Unicode Quran text to be used in Quranic websites and applications. IslamicFinder does not own any of the data present in the Quran and is using Tanzil.net services.
Children:
Although the content is shown on IslamicFinder products is appropriate for any age of audience, children under the age of 13 are advised to create their accounts under the supervision of their parents or legal guardians. You must be over the age required by your country's laws to create an account or otherwise use the services, or we will need to obtain verifiable consent from your parent or legal guardian.
